Service Description

Craniosacral therapy is a great way to relieve multiple restrictions in the fascial system that may have occurred during the birthing process. If mother and baby faced difficult challenges during this time or received physical interventions such as drugs, forceps, vacuum extraction or surgery, craniosacral therapy can be hugely beneficial in resolving the effects of these procedures. However, even a birth that has not been interfered with can result in unresolved fascial restrictions due to the intense nature of this experience and the impact on mother and baby. If you notice any of these signs, it may be beneficial to receive treatment: Baby is unable to sleep or is constantly restless Baby prefers one breast to the other to the point of distress when given the alternate breast Baby seems tense, restless and difficult to soothe Baby has difficulty latching to breast Baby makes excessive slurpy or clicking noises when feeding Baby seems in pain after feeding or has difficulty passing gas Craniosacral therapy is highly recommended as soon as possible post birth. As stated by the Birth Injury Help Center, studies have found that CST helps infant head trauma heal much faster. When regular CST is received in the first weeks of the baby’s life, their recovery and healing time for head trauma can increase by as much as 40%. Home visitations are offered for the ease of mother and baby however you are welcome to bring your newborn into the office as well. Home visits are an additional $25.
